How do you show up?

What is your call to action?
What does it take to get you motivated; to get you out in the streets? What does it take to make you angry? What does it take for you to be a true ally, an activist, to be a human who isn't just an onlooker? Many of us come to the table in different ways. Many of us show up in different ways, or get angry for different reasons. After all we're only human. What does it look like when your family, your friends, your coworkers or even your barista say nothing? Do nothing?
We have been trying to figure out what our role is in this fight for dignity, respect, humanity and justice. Some people take to the streets, some people do nothing. Some people talk to their friends, talk to their families, talk to their colleagues and coworkers, and children. At what point is talk not enough? How do we get the message out there? How do we do it in ways that people will listen, see, and feel? In the past couple of years we have been trying to figure out how we stand with black lives matter, with Ferguson, with New York, with Baltimore, Charlotte, and even our own backyard.

It is now time for us to use our different mediums to speak up. Please stay tuned for our podcast where we explore the artist and the art of activism. Where we hope to create a space for people to learn, and teach us about different ways to speak up and show up.
